Psychotherapy or counseling is a continual work in progress, focused on you and your needs. In our work I am committed to your journey of self-discovery and emotional healing. Counseling can help you discover the real you, which means becoming more comfortable with your own feelings, thoughts, and choices. Simply put, it is learning to know and accept yourself fully as you are. Further, counseling provides you with the opportunity for change so you can live with greater awareness, achieve better balance in your life, and create new possibilities for living more happily.
My goal is to help you achieve your vision of life satisfaction and personal success, to become the best person you can be. A natural
outcome of this change will be increased effectiveness and greater self-esteem. Because you will be dealing with sensitive issues, we will go at a pace that feels right for you.
If you are suffering because of low self-esteem, overeating and weight issues, too much stress, grief and loss, dysfunctional family history, relationship difficulties, or are feeling stuck in your life, please allow me to help.
I practice the highest level of confidentiality possible to promote your emotional safety in our sessions. I follow the standards for maintaining client confidentiality outlined in the Code of Ethics of the National Association of Social Workers in order to protect your privacy. Please be assured that I will do my utmost to provide a safe atmosphere for you and the most comprehensive confidentiality and privacy possible.
I use email communications for my clients' convenience, but please be aware that it does not provide complete security for transmitting confidential information. I use it cautiously and encourage that same caution for you. If you do decide to use this method, please understand that you are acknowledging acceptance of a possible risk to your privacy. To contact me confidentially, please call me at 919.471.6501, ext. 8. Further, you have my promise that I will never share your email address with anyone.
